JAC TRAINING CENTER GRAND OPENING
Plumbers Local 130 UA celebrated the opening of the new JAC Training Center with a Grand Opening on September 12th. Speakers at the Grand Opening included Mark McManus, General President of the United Association; Michael J. Madigan, Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives; Walter Burnett Jr., Alderman of the 27th Ward; John D’Amico, Representative of the 15th District of Illinois: Amy Rule, who read a statement from Mayor Emanuel; Judy Frydland, Commissioner, Chicago Department of Buildings; John Russell, W.E. O’Neil President; Craig Thomas, JAC Co-Chairman. James F. Coyne, Business Manager of Plumbers Local 130 UA and JAC Chairman provided the welcome and described the facility’s modern technologies. Elder Kevin Ford, Executive Director of the St. Paul Church of God in Christ Community Development Ministries provided the Invocation. In attendance were many elected officials, UA officials, vendors and service provider representatives, instructors, journeymen and apprentices.
